Unfortunately I've had a good bit of experience w/ physical therapy over the years. This time it was an injury in late 2014 that led to major shoulder surgery in Jan 2015.
One of my issues coming out of surgery was a significant lack of range of motion. I had measurements from the surgery where they manipulated my arm under anesthesia and what I wasn't told at the time was that final outcomes generally don't get much better than these measures.
It's always hard to judge when you're choosing a provider, but this decision ended up being a winner. And that's not just my opinion. Both my surgeon and the associated PT in Vail commented on the great outcome and actually took David's info to refer other clients in the future. That's the type of referral that really means something.
I went to this location twice, once for backpain and once with knee issue. Both times experience is very good. Dave is the best. Very friendly staff.
David focused on his from the start though and we were very aggressive in working range of motion. End result was a range of motion that was nearly back to normal 4 months out and significantly better than what was measured during surgery. Per the surgical PT my outcome exceeded expectations and is attributable to the PT I received w/ David.
I selected my surgeon very carefully, having the operation out of state by one of the top shoulder surgeons in the US (in Vail, CO). I was prepared to go to another physical therapist I had used in the past until I realized they were now out of network for my insurance. So after researching a number of PTs in the area and visiting a couple, I settled on David at Dynamics.
Dr. Karen Jensen Vicki has excellent knowledge and exceeded expectations. For 20 years have been on a stiff ankle after an ankle (subtalar) dislocation. Different Doctors, podiatrist, ortho, etc...informed me that I would never regain full mobility of the ankle. She accomplished what another physical therapist could not... after discharge, measured my ankle to very near to full mobility. She prevented knee issues, etc... that would have occurred as age progressed.
As far as the office, the Herndon location includes a couple of rooms in the World Gym Clocktower location. It's not as large or fancy as other options, but outcomes are what matters and my outcome w/ David was excellent.
